So I grabbed it, because I like trying out full versions of games when they are free, and oh boy, did I spend some quality time with this one!

I started playing at about 10pm; I usually try some new things or read some articles before I go to sleep, but sleep was nowhere in sight until 2am!

It’s kinda like Tower Defense meets Plants vs. Zombies, to me anyway.  The different thing is that in this horizontal scroller, both you and the enemies move toward each other. The main character also shoots a shotgun and has a melee attack when you get close to an enemy. Kinda neat! Of course you can upgrade your infantry and the enemies get stronger as each level progresses.  Good luck getting past Level 41!

I haven’t talked much about tech stuff on here yet. I use an Eye-Fi X2 Pro card with my cameras. They are so awesome! You just shoot your pictures, and it wirelessly transfers to your computer either in a folder or to a specific photo editing program. This is great so you can just keep shooting and when you’re done, the photos are on your comp ready to go.

You can also do instant slideshows while you’re shooting at an event. I’ve done this at a few parties and it’s a hit.

Anyway, so with most of the cards, you need some sort of wireless network going on, and with the pro card, you can make an ad-hoc network, which means the computer makes a wireless network and the card submits to that one… really nice for outdoor events.

Now they just announced that soon they will have an app for your smartphone that will create some sort of link between the card and your phone, so you can have your photos land directly there. Since most phones have a data network on it, you can then upload all your pictures straight from the phone, no computer required!

This will change the way photographers do their shoots. They can shoot their assignment, while simultaneously uploading low-res (for speed) proofs to the office or editor, and when they get back to their computers, they know exactly what they want already.

I can’t wait!

I first took out my 27″ iMac to help, and my Macbook Air, then got the back up Mac Mini with Windows on it in place, and finally the store’s 24″ iMac.

Oh well, not the reason I wanted to put macs at the reg, but when the hardwired network went down, they were the only things with wifi built in that I had.  YAY FOR APPLE!

When I initially set them up I really had no idea what I was doing.  Today, I only kinda know what I’m doing but that’s better than nothing!

I think the problem was that the IP address of the Print Servers was assigned to the LAN of the PC store, and not the LAN of the server… Apparently those need to be the same if you want to print.  Therefore we got printing every 7th time or so.

So I’m testing this theory today to see if it works consistently.  Oh, and it didn’t help that 2 of our Print Servers were fried after the wrong power supply was used with them.  So with a fresh batch of Print Servers, new information and a Mac Mini with Vista for testing, I should get to the bottom of this!!

My entire database was deleted so I have to start over, but now with a great theme and better pictures I hope!  I’m still organizing and building everything so excuse the way it looks for  a while!
